Christine Willeford, MA LMFT

Straight Forward, No Messing Around Approach

I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with over 22 years experience helping individuals and couples with a variety of concerns. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts from The University of Hartford in Connecticut, I then went on the receive my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the Institute Of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto California.

I have a “tell it as it is” straightforward style and approach to therapy. I believe we all need to make our own happiness in life and not wait for happiness to find us. I therefore have a supportive, empowering and encouraging relationship with my clients to give them that gentle push they need to find their own sense of inner peace and happiness and create the life they want to have.

I believe that wellness involves the whole person — physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual and that healing must take place in those areas to relieve suffering and find happiness.

I use a variety of techniques, both traditional and innovative: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Couples Counseling & Relationship Enhancement, Psychodrama, the Enneagram, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I am currently in the process of becoming a Certified Sex Therapist.

As a mother and therapist, I feel passionate about supporting parents in the care of themselves and their families. As a new parent, you are not alone. I welcome the opportunity to be a part of your journey.
